College secretary Lucy Barton puts another letter
for a student into one of the mail room’s pigeon holes.
An order for 250 folding chairs and exam tables has been placed by Shropshire’s international college with one of the county’s leading furniture suppliers.
Acton Burnell-based Concord College, which has students of many different nationalities attending every year, has placed its latest order with Chrisbeon Office Supplies of Telford.
Family run Chrisbeon, of Stafford Park, has newly furnished many of the college offices with chairs, desks, cupboards and filing cabinets.
Said Jackie Millington, assistant to the college bursar:  “I cannot speak highly enough of the service we receive from Chrisbeon who also supply us with a free CAD survey for each office refurbishment.
“They provide a quick service which includes good quality furniture that gets well used.  They sort out what we need and because of their excellent service they are the people we ring.
“It might not sound an exciting installation but one of the most important services they have completed is the pigeon holes for the mail room.  It’s a ‘lifeline’ for our overseas students who look forward to collecting their post from the pigeon holes.”
She added that the college mail room was the largest of Chrisbeon’s installations so far.
Craig Hughes, a partner of Chrisbeon Office Supplies, said:  “Some customers only think of us for supplying general office furniture.  But we now supply more and more educational furniture.  We have a large range of products to suit all ages, from reception right through to further education age.
“As we had previously furnished Concord College’s general offices and post room, they asked if we could help with exam tables, chairs and trolleys which was no problem due to the wide range we offer.”
