As we head into 2018 our staff are enjoying their new ‘modern workplace’ and preparing to make similar changes to workplaces across the UK.
We have transformed our Telford office with a £25,000 makeover and industry predictions show a modern workplace is one of the things companies are predicted to “get on top of” in the next 12 months.
We will also be bringing in new desking and seating ranges to go on display in our 3,000 square foot Telford showroom and have a new stationery catalogue out in February with a wide range exciting products.
Modernising the office means staff are now working with electric height adjustable sit-stand desks, new fabric acoustic desk screens and new cable management, and they are much more readily accessible to visitors – which we think is the way forward.
Business News Daily has published its business predictions for 2018 and the modern office was high on the list.
The predictions say the physical workspace as we know it today is going to significantly change as businesses start to get smart about how they use space to drive productivity and adapt to new employee behaviours and tech tools.
But we have witnessed a change in workplace design over the last few years – often a result of changing business culture.
Traditional 9 to 5 schedules have been replaced by flexible working hours, isolated cubicles have been converted into open plan workspaces and ultra formal attire is no longer necessary.
With this change in office lifestyle has come change in workspace design and we are often working on innovative ideas to provide efficient furniture and layouts that meet modern needs.
